This pair of Irish Setters is posed in a stately position that is most unusual but highly desirable. When used as bookends, the set will be seen in three-quarter view, not in profile, as most figural bookends are. The striking bronze-copper set is from the Saxton Company of California and dates from circa 1930s. Its color is absolutely perfect for the Irish Setter breed. The original foundry label still is affixed to the base of each.
